WAP Reports
The visits information can also be viewed using a WAP (WML v.1.1)
supporting device like e.g. a mobile phone. Here is an example of
how such device emulators display this information:
The WAP interface
provides a number of features available via a web browser.
They are:
- Visits list, Detailed visits list;
- Referral sites, keywords (with an ability to switch to the
visits list made up based on a selected item);
- User-defined reports (with an ability to switch to the
visits list made up based on a selected item);
- Restriction of reports by the selected marks and/or sites;
- Language and time zone settings;
- Date filter.
To access your statistic information using a mobile device,
go to the same URL as if you were using a standard web browser,
e.g. http://yoursite/stat/. The application will
detect your device and provide it with certain WML-content
ready to be displayed.
Page 1 features a top-level menu containing the following items:
- Visits
- Referrers
- Temporary/User-Defined reports (by default, the "Temporary" report is present only)
- Options
The "Visits" item consists of the following sub-items:
- "Visits List" - features visits to your site(s); and
- "Marks" - reports on marks the visits have been marked with.
The "Referrers" item consists of the following sub-items:
- "Sites" - Referral Sites report;
- "Keywords" - report on keywords that helped visitors locate your site(s).
The "Temporary" item consists of just the
"HTTP_USER_AGENT" submenu that provides information on the temporary parameter.
The "Options" item consists of the following submenus:
- Marks - for restricting reports based on the selected marks;
- Sites - for restricting reports based on the selected sites;
- Time zone - for adjusting your time-zone (if incorrectly detected);
- Lang - allows you to select a language for the interface
(by default, there is just English available).
Most pages contain optional links like HOME - to get
back to the main menu, and PERIOD - to set a new date period.
Each report page contains a header, a message describing the date range
currently selected, the report content and optionally links to scroll
the report's results.
The content of the "Visits list" report represents
a list of visits including date, time, host name and mark. The
time string contains a link leading to the visit's details.
An "Items" report (like "Referral sites",
"Keywords", etc.) contains
a list of items along with the number of times they occurred/were
used and their share of the total in percent. The number strings have
links to the "Visits list" already filtered by the
selected item.
